A recent example is the 2024 Charity Challenge, which took place in June 2024. We provided event management support to 47 colleagues from Markerstudy Group as they undertook an intensive 12- hour hike across the scenic Peak District, with participants choosing between a marathon (26 miles) or half-marathon (14 miles) route.

The event required over a year of meticulous planning and months of physical preparation, designed to test resilience, foster teamwork, and inspire charitable giving. Despite facing difficult terrain and unpredictable weather, the team surpassed expectations – exceeding their £30,000 fundraising target and raising an incredible £48,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

This achievement fully funded the Macmillan Support Line for a week, providing essential assistance to over 2,000 individuals seeking information and support.

The 2024 Charity Challenge was about more than just raising funds – it also strengthened team bonds and boosted employee wellbeing. It aligned perfectly with Markerstudy Group’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) objectives and created a sense of community both for participants andnon-participating colleagues. Everyone was involved in tracking progress and cheering on the team, creating a fun and supportive atmosphere.

Planning is already underway for the 2025 Team Charity Challenge, which promises to be even more inspiring and impactful.
